Paris Bordon | The Divine Painter
Treviso confirms its presence on the stage of great art with an initiative of high cultural value and international scope. The City dedicates, in fact, to its greatest painter, Paris Bordon (Treviso 1500 – Venice 1571), defined by the Venetian historian Marco Boschini, the “Divin Pitor” – a term he used only for Raphael and Titian – the largest monographic ever created so far with exceptional works, many of which have never been exhibited in Italy. The exhibition, set up at the Santa Caterina Museum from 16 September 2022, is curated by Arturo Galansino, director of the Palazzo Strozzi Foundation in Florence, and by Simone Facchinetti, researcher at the University of Salento.
